Alex Kasper, Graphic Designer
I have lived my life through the words of others. Whether through books or song lyrics, the words of my favorite writers have given me clarity, comfort, and a form to a thousand unspoken thoughts and feelings. For a long time I worried that I was unable to speak for myself, if I could claim the words of others as my own. Eventually I discovered that through graphic design and typography, I found a way of expressing these words as my own. As a designer I am able to give words a visual voice, allow them to create new worlds and connect with other peoples’ souls.
I spend most of my time looking for connections between the things around and inside me. I am an art/design/music nerd in a desperately uncool, intense, obsessive way. I find that cool, trendy things are incredibly boring, and I would rather be around nerds with souls.
